This post is of a barn raising at the Leo Davis farm in 1949.
AnnaBelle Davis told her daughter Judy (Davis) Milett about the day and who she could remember being there to help.
She said "they fed 150 people at noon and 75 at night. All the men's wives came. Fred Coty cut the whole barn at his house and brought it here. He used some of the lumber to build a long table and benches to sit on" She also mentioned Leo had to buy a b**r for everyone there.
The men she remembers helping raise the barn:
Leo, Dave, Gene, Stanley, Clifford, Dan and Lewis Davis
Fred Coty
Irvin Kennett
John Foote
William Wenzel
Bill Sadler
Ed Bradley
Robert Dayringer
Don Cook
John Stoneman
Jack Harrod
Bob Ackles

Do not know the date this photo was taken. Shows Probst Garage in the first of it's many re-purposes. I believe it's first reincarnation was as a pharmacy in the early 1980s which did not last very long.
