The Knappa Fire District wanted to remind everyone that yes, it has rained, and yes, it is going to rain some more tonight and tomorrow. However, it is still fire season. Please remember that outside burning is still prohibited countywide.

The firefighter position supports day-to-day operations and incident management, and coordinates the recruitment and retention of firefighters for the district.

It is that time of year again!

Come down to the Knappa Fire main station on Sunday, September 13, from 6:00 to 11:00 am for our annual Pancake Feed.

Breakfast is free however, donations are always appreciated.

Fire Season begins on Monday, June 15. Open burning will be banned at that time. Burn Barrels and campfires are allowed with permits. Permits may be obtained from the Oregon Department of Forestry - Astoria District. They may be reached at 503-325-5451.
