Due to transportation costs increasing, our friends from Rural Action's Zero Waste are increasing pricing for accepting mattresses for recycling at the UpCycle Campus, 751 W. Union St. Athens. It is now $30 for a king/queen/double and $20 for a twin/crib.

People still need to contact Zero Waste to make an appointment to drop off a mattress or boxspring. Mattresses and box springs need to dry, mold free, have no strong odors, and bug free. Please see the attached flyer for more information!

Our 2026 Recycle Days rocked! A big thank you to our partners from Rural Action, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Rumpke and Mckee Auto Parts. Of course, a big thank you to everyone who brought something to us! We couldn't have done it without all of you! We hope to see you at our 2027 events!
