For many of us, September 11, 2001 is not simply a date in history. It is a day we remember.

We remember where we were. We remember watching in disbelief as the events unfolded. We remember the fear, the heartbreak, and the uncertainty of that day.

But we also remember what came afterward — the courage of first responders, the kindness of strangers, neighbors helping neighbors, and a country coming together in a way we had rarely seen before.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives that were lost, the families forever changed, and all those whose lives were affected by that terrible day.

The memories remain.
