Every year The Ark provides hygiene kits to families & individuals we serve at the Ark during the holiday season. It’s a fun and easy way that we can provide a bit more relief to families during the often stressful months of the holidays. These kits provide essential hygiene items along with some household items. As we all know, the cost of living and cost of groceries/essentials continue to rise. Saying goodbye to our current Financial Education Director, Stephanie Cockfield, after 14 amazing years of building our incredible Financial Education programs and expanding our micro-lending program. Stephanie has truly been a champion for the low-income working community by giving them essential tools to reach long term financial success. We are so grateful for her time at the Ark! We are excited to welcome Jeanet Card as our new Financial Education Director!

As summer temperatures soar across Athens, many of our neighbors are facing scorching heat alongside skyrocketing electric bills. With power costs higher than usual, local families are stretched tighter than ever, turning standard monthly budgets into immediate crises. Our Summer of Stability Fund exists to bridge this exact gap, stepping in to ensure local households stay cool and safely housed through these tough months.

Our overarching goal is to raise $10,000 for utility and emergency assistance. To make this relief sustainable, our target is to reach $5,000 in direct donations before our summer benefit concert on Saturday, August 22nd!
