Athens Limestone County 911

Stay safe neighbors and holler at us if you need anything. Glad y’all get to deal with it and not us.

We got the A team rocking the Rock The South!!

Please stay safe if you are attending. If not, would highly recommend finding another route.

Either way, we got you!

We haven’t had significant rain in several days now and unfortunately there isn’t much of a chance in the foreseeable future. Please refrain the burning of anything until we receive some significant rain. We are currently at a “High” Fire Danger!

Did you know that nearly 9 out of 10 wildfires are caused by people and could have been prevented? We know the Amazon box’s are piling up, but please continue to hide them from your spouse or significant other until we get a meaningful rain.

Congratulations to Jeff Sharp on his upcoming retirement. He has spent over 18 years with Athens/Limestone County 911 serving the people who live, work, and are traveling through our area. He has done anything and everything that has ever been asked of him and has been a great employee who we will all miss. For the many thousands of emergencies he has handled over the years we want to say Thank You!

Congratulations to one of our night Shift Lead’s Caleb Roberson on winning the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Public Servant Award - “Dispatcher” for this year.

Thank you to our local VFW for always supporting our first responders and putting on a great ceremony on Sunday.

We ended NPST WEEK 2026 just as we started it, courtesy of Limestone County Association of Volunteer Firefighters! They provided Cash & Jacks for lunch and domino’s for supper.

Thank you for the continued support of of men and women behind the headset!

Our dispatchers were treated to lunch from Logan's Roadhouse and Lisa Fowler Butler! (We tried to get a picture but the food went too fast), and night shift enjoyed Whitts BBQ with sweet treats delivered by Athens EMS supervisors!

Thank you all for making our Friday a fantastic one!
