🇺🇸 AHS Veterans Day Assembly 🇺🇸

AHS Student Council invites local veterans to join us for our Veterans Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at Athens High School.

🎖️ Veteran Reception: 9:15–10:00 a.m.
Enjoy donuts, coffee, and refreshments before the assembly.

🇺🇸 Assembly: 10:00 a.m. in the AHS gymnasium
All AHS students will be in attendance as we honor our veterans. Each veteran’s name, branch of service, and rank will be read as students thank them for their service.

The program will include:
• Keynote speaker Mr. Robert “Bo” Marrs, AMS teacher and veteran
• AHS Marching Band and Symphonic Choir performances
• AHS Student Council-led program

📍 Parking: Veterans should park in the gym lot and enter through the gym doors. Student Council members will be outside to assist as needed.

The Athens VTC has partnered with the Natural Freedom Wellness Center which makes equine therapy available to participants!

Congratulations to them for reaching20 years in operation!

Charlie Health also has an online counseling available for teenagers who are matched with other teenagers with similar issues for a regular group chat meeting. There teens can discuss their situation with those experiencing similar difficulties while a moderator guides discussion. These groups would not include people they know.

They pride themselves on connecting teens with counseling services sometimes as quickly as within 24 hours of screening or referral.
