Our CEO, Jon Williams, recently joined local educators, healthcare professionals, and business leaders for the second session of the inaugural Educators Workforce Academy, hosted by David Bradley and the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce !

Preparing the next generation for meaningful careers requires strong, active partnerships between education and industry. By opening doors to candid conversations about workforce needs and workplace tours, this year-long initiative is helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and future career opportunities in Athens-Clarke County.

We’re grateful to the Chamber, CCSD, and all participating organizations for investing their time in strengthening our local talent pipeline. The future of our community depends on collaboration like this!

The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to host the Ames Regional Economic Alliance for an Intercity Visit last week. Ames chose to visit Athens to learn about what has worked in our community, explore new ideas, and identify opportunities to bring back to their region. Along with community partners, we hosted panels, tours, and events over the course of three days to share all things Athens with our guests. We are grateful that Ames chose to spend their time in the Classic City!
