Meet Robin and Wren! These two sisters are looking for a furever home together. They are currently in a foster home so applications must be submitted and approved prior to meeting them. Both girls have been spayed, microchipped, combo tested for fiv/felv and have had age appropriate vaccines. Lerner Clinic is offering free dog spays to students, faculty, staff, and community members through February.

“There's no charge to the client for the spay. Additionally, they can get any vaccines they need, like rabies and distemper, a heartworm test, and a microchip at a low cost. It’s heavily supervised and extraordinarily safe. It's a win-win in terms of helping the community by providing these services for no charge, and they're helping us in training our veterinary students by bringing the dogs.”

Dr. Laurence Sawyer, V99, director of Lerner Clinic

We are happy to report that after being on the run for almost a week, Roxy is back home. Just before 2am this morning, our phones went off with the notification from our camera that Roxy had finally found her way back over to the area where the trap was set and had safely been captured. A huge thank you to the homeowners who allowed us access to their property since Tuesday, to Deb B from Missing Dogs Mass and Petersham ACO for coming out with the trap, using all her trapping knowledge, and endlessly watching the cams, Officer Johnson with OPD who came out at 230 in the morning for assistance with lugging the trap all the way back over to our vehicle with Miss Roxy in it (you never realize how bulky those traps are until youre half awake and its dark out!), and to everyone who called in sightings. Sometimes it takes a village, we are so grateful and we can sleep much better tonight knowing Miss Roxy is back home safe.
