Kuti walondolola mwe. At this point, some opposition parties in Zambia look like football teams that only train for the final but never play the league games. How do you want to form government when you cannot even field candidates in some constituencies? UPND MPs are going unopposed not because these candidates are too strong, (yes you heard right) but because the opposition has neglected grassroots politics.

Politics is not just Facebook posts, interviews, and presidential ambitions. Real politics is building structures in communities, organizing wards, supporting local candidates, and staying connected to the people. What I have noticed is that it’s now more about “ulechimo” and personal beef than the people of Zambia. Every day it’s anger, bitterness, and attacks instead of offering real solutions to citizens.

Most of you ba opposition are obsessed with State House but have ignored the foundation of politics. How will you run a country when you cannot even organize your own party properly. And honestly, this is worrying for a democratic nation. A strong democracy needs a strong opposition, but right now many opposition parties are failing the Zambian people.
