As soon as fall is in the air, the song of this week's “Feathered Find” isn't far behind. The White-throated Sparrow can be heard singing “oh-sweet-Canada” all winter long across most of North America, where it’s a well-known and loved visitor to yards and feeders. This beautifully patterned songbird can be found on the ground and in brush piles across all of our parks and is often seen in large flocks.

What a great community event last Friday Night at Briarcliff Heights Nature Preserve. The community came together for pizza and more before hitting the houses for trick or treat! We are so grateful that community comes together at our park!

Something happened this morning.........

Since we were making a new sign anyway due to our new logo we decided to change the preserve's name too. We'll get the donor recognition sign done soon. I thought ordered it, but hadn't.

We added a simple stretching station at what seemed to be the flattest and clearest spot.

We'll continue to harass the weeds.

SE Trust needs volunteers!

For example, SE Trust has a new program of free small group nature photography clinics that rotate through SE Trust sites. A clinic was held at Campbellton Creek Nature Park last week. If we know you like that type of activity and we know your primary SE Trust site, we’ll let you know when the photo clinic event is near you.
