While public safety remains a perceived issue almost 90% of respondents felt safe in their neighborhoods and almost 70% supported reimagining public safety through the closure of ACDC.

Even with the campaign moving forward, my team and I at the are still working hard to build Black futures and we are proud to have launched our first shared learning institute with the ’s Graduate School of Social Work and the Compass Initiative ().
The four organizations in our cohort will be learning trauma informed public policy and advocacy from us for the next 6 months!

Organizations interested in participating in LEARN Trauma-Informed Advocacy must have a primary organizational purpose of serving people living with HIV and demonstrate a willingness to integrate trauma informed advocacy, public policy, and political education, into all aspects of their programs

Did you know that the legal cannabis is projected to become a $23 billion industry in the U.S. by 2023 but Black people only own 4.4 percent of the industry and are 3.73 times more likely to be arrested for cannabis possession than Whites?
