On September 11, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the brave first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

More than two decades later, their courage continues to remind us of the meaning of service, sacrifice, and duty.

Today, the Atlanta Police Department honors their memory and stands with our brothers and sisters in public safety across the nation.

Saluting Service💙

Today, we proudly honor an extraordinary public servant, Executive Assistant, Sr., to Chief Darin Schierbaum, Patricia Freeman, as she retires after more than three decades of dedicated service with the Atlanta Police Department.

During the last 12 years, she has served as the trusted Executive Assistant, Sr., to four Atlanta Police Chiefs, Chief George Turner, Chief Erika Shields, Chief Rodney Bryant, and most recently, Chief Darin Schierbaum.

Through every administration, every challenge, and every milestone, Mrs. Freeman's unwavering commitment and behind-the-scenes dedication helped keep the department moving forward.

Thank you, Mrs. Freeman, for your remarkable service, your steadfast dedication, and your countless contributions to the City of Atlanta. Wishing you a retirement filled with joy, good health, and all the happiness you've earned!
