Did you know that Justice Carla Wong McMillian, Supreme Court of Georgia, is a Governor's Honors Program alumna? She attended in summer 1990 at Valdosta State University, representing her high school- Westminster Schools of Augusta.
Justice McMillian is the first ever Asian American woman supreme court justice in the southeast, and Georgia's first Asian American statewide elected official. She is also GHP's first alum to be elected to statewide office.

Thanks David Lat for the shoutout! I did find it curious that Lance McMillian chose the fictional murder of the Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court as the topic of his second novel.
