We were also proud to join Marshal McKee and the Fulton County Marshal’s Office ( ) for their Pink, Purple & Pizza gathering in support of both Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💗💜

Together, we acknowledge all those impacted, and help raise awareness for these important causes. 💕

Congratulations on a Well-Deserved Promotion!

Please join us in congratulating Judge Adam D. Petty on his recent promotion to Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army!

LTC Petty is currently assigned to the 645th Readiness Support Group (RSG) in Southfield, Michigan, where he serves as the Group Judge Advocate. In this role, he advises the Group Commander, a Colonel, on a broad range of legal matters, including military justice, ethics, administrative law, and fiscal law.

This outstanding achievement reflects years of dedicated service, exceptional leadership, and an unwavering commitment to our nation. Please join us in celebrating this significant milestone in LTC Petty’s military career and wishing him continued success in his service and leadership.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Today, the Magistrate Court of Fulton County participated in the Fulton County Best Hand Walk/Run Challenge! 🎉

Our team visited several Fulton County worksites on an exciting scavenger hunt to compete for the title of “Best Hand”! Along the way, we enjoyed a fun and engaging team-building experience while prioritizing wellness, physical activity, and a little friendly competition.

It was a great opportunity to get moving, connect with colleagues, and promote a healthier workplace. 💪✨

September 9, 2026 is a big day for the Magistrate Court of Fulton County—joyful, and a little bittersweet.

We’d love for our community to join us as we celebrate Judge Linda Borsky and honor her 10 years of devoted service. Her compassion, steady leadership, and commitment to the people we serve have made a lasting difference—and we’re grateful for the chance to say thank you as she begins her next chapter.

That same day, we’ll also swear in three new part-time Magistrate Court Judges. Please come help us give them a warm welcome as they begin serving our community.

The Magistrate Court of Fulton County is pleased to share that the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF) now offers rental assistance to qualified residents of the City of Atlanta.

Preliminary eligibility requirements include:

Residency within the City of Atlanta

Currently housed and at imminent risk of losing housing within 14 days

Total household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income

Mediation is making a real difference in landlord‑tenant cases across the Magistrate Court of Fulton County. By helping landlords and tenants communicate, reach agreements faster, and avoid lengthy trials, mediation keeps cases moving and supports better outcomes for everyone involved. With 83% of referred cases resolved through mediation so far this year and more than 2,200 cases already referred, it’s proving to be one of the most effective tools for reducing delays and easing pressure on trial calendars. Mediation matters, and it’s working for Fulton County.

Yesterday, Chief Magistrate Judge Cassandra Kirk led our bimonthly Landlord‑Tenant Stakeholder Working Group Meeting, bringing Fulton County partners together to strengthen processes, share data, and plan for the future. This work continues our commitment to Inform, Engage, Empower Our Community.

As we close 2026, look for opportunities to engage across all cases types for Magistrate Court. Tell us what is working, what needs tweaks, and how we can make our processes smoother.

Team Magistrate Court took a break from the daily grind to join the Fulton County Spades Tournament! We had a great time stepping away from the workday, enjoying some friendly competition, and connecting with our fellow Fulton County departments.
