District Attorney Sonya F. Allen hosted a luncheon to celebrate recent retirees from the District Attorney's Office. It was a joyous occasion and for many of the retirees - a mini reunion. Many of the retirees spent decades in the Cobb Judicial Circuit as criminal investigators.

You may ask, "How is that different from a Police/Sheriff investigator?"

While traditional detectives focus on the initial crime scene response and gathering enough evidence to make an arrest, DA investigators work closely with prosecutors to prove the state's case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Their decades of service, dedication, and expertise have left a lasting impact on the pursuit of justice in Cobb County, and we are grateful for the legacy they leave behind.❤
