Last Wednesday, one of our Team Georgia Careers representatives, Monique Jenkins, spoke at the Manager Mindset event hosted by University Career Services - Georgia State University. Her session focused on “What will my future manager expect from me?”—helping students better understand what success looks like beyond the job description.

Manager Mindset is designed to support student growth in leadership, communication, and career development. Through open, conversational discussions, students had the opportunity to:

Gain insight into manager expectations, including communication, professionalism, and career ownership

Strengthen leadership skills by thinking through real workplace scenarios from a manager’s perspective

Identify one actionable behavior they can apply in academics, campus employment, or future roles
