Our clients are suing Pete Skandalakis, Director of the Prosecuting Attorney's Council of Georgia (PAC), for failing to appoint a conflict prosecutor in the Lt. Gov. Burt Jones case. This lawsuit stems from Skandalakis’s 21-month delay in appointing a prosecutor.
Key Issues:
- Conflict of Interest: Burt Jones, President of the GA Senate, controls the PAC's budget and Skandalakis's salary, making him disqualified from the case.
- Lack of Communication: Despite an Open Records Act request, Skandalakis stated there were no written communications about the case for over 17 months.

Recent Developments:
On the same day Skandalakis appointed himself as the conflict prosecutor, Lt. Gov. Burt Jones voiced his support for moving forward.
