The “Alphabet” Ranch consists of houses with unusual geometric forms that often look like letters when seen from above. This round house on Baker Ridge Drive was designed by Joseph Robinson and built in 1956.

It was home to Dr. Earl and Sara Starling. Dr. Starling was band director at Booker T. Washington for 15 years, principal of Campbell Elementary for another 15 years and later professor of music at Morris Brown. Mrs. Starling was a Spelman graduate who taught elementary and middle school. The couple lived in the house until Earl’s death in 1997 and Sara’s in 2001.

👟 The Sneaker & Coat Drive will take place on Saturday, November 23 at C.T. Martin Recreation Center.
🧥 We appreciate new or gently used donations and all sizes are accepted.
🫂 Donations can be dropped off at City of Atlanta Government (City Hall) through the Mayor’s Office of Constituent Services or any City of Atlanta recreation center Monday-Thursday from 9am-5pm.
