Congratulations to 7s crew members FF Jacob Hearn and FF Channing Seeger on successfully passing the ATEMS program!

This 5-day, 40(+) hour Tactical Emergency Medical Service Course (TEMS) is a High Energy/Low Drag training session to train members to provide EMS in a high risk/austere environment to Law Enforcement Officers operating in high-risk tactical environments.

Job well done!

Congratulations Captain Jones on successfully completing the Georgia Smoke Diver program.

The Georgia Smoke Diver course is a grueling six-day, 60-hour program that includes between 10 to 12-hour drills each day designed for the experienced firefighter.

Out of the 46 participants, 25 successfully completed the program.

Throwback Thursday! ⛰

: In the Mid 1950’s the City of Atlanta built a state of the art Drill Tower and Burn Building on Claire Dr in the Lakewood Heights neighborhood.

Prior to that, the Atlanta Fire Bureau conducted recruit training and the drill tower at Atlanta Fire Station 7 -“The Rock”

Later, 4 floors of the drill tower at Station 7 were removed bringing it down to the same level as the firehouse.

Too hot to train? Not for Probationary Firefighter Brooks! He was able to train on forward/reverse lays, deploy and advance 2.5” hose lines and perform catching a water supply. Solid work sir!

Throughout his shifts, Probationary Firefighter Brooks has been studying and learning his first due territory. Having a thorough understanding of this will help him with building construction, hydrant locations, and responding to emergency calls at its quickest route. Next time you see him - ask him for directions!
