The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus is a collective body of African American lawmakers who serve in the Georgia General Assembly. Founded in 1974, the caucus seeks to advocate on behalf of marginalized communities, provide a platform for Black elected officials, and promote legislative initiatives that benefit all Georgians. With a diverse membership of senators and representatives, the caucus aims to create policies that address racial disparities, empower Black constituents, and build a more equitable Georgia. Through their advocacy, community outreach, and legislative work, the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus continues to fight for justice and equity for all Georgians.
