🎓 It’s graduation season, and we’re shining a spotlight on our incredible BPSP (Building Perinatal Support Professionals) Doula Cohort VI!
This dedicated cohort of 20 committed themselves to learning, growing, and preparing to serve families across our communities. Throughout the program, they completed 20 core sessions, additional continuing education workshops covering maternal mental health, lactation, CPR, business development, and more, received mentorship, and were gifted a bag of items and tools to help them confidently begin supporting mothers and families.
And the best part? Many of these graduates are already serving clients and making an impact in the community! 💛
We are beyond proud of each and every graduate and all they accomplished throughout this journey.
Our scholarship program is completely free to our scholars and it takes a lot of resources to have a successful program that adequately equips perinatal support professionals, so we thank EACH & EVERY sponsor. A special thank you to Elevance Health and HealthConnect One for allowing us to be a replicated site and supporting this work, to Emory Decatur Hospital for allowing us to use their space for our in-person training days, and to Morehouse School of Medicine for allowing us to celebrate this milestone in the beautiful Calvin Smyre Auditorium.
Thank you to every facilitator, mentor, sponsor, supporter, and community partner who continues to trust and believe in our work and training programs.
Congratulations again to our graduates and to all graduates celebrating this season — your hard work deserves to be celebrated! 🎉

Happy Mother’s Day 💐
Today, we celebrate the strength, love, sacrifice, resilience, and beauty of mothers in every stage and season of motherhood. Whether you are expecting, navigating postpartum, raising babies, parenting teens, grieving, healing, trying, nurturing others, or mothering through community and care, we honor you today.
Motherhood is powerful. It is joyful, challenging, transformative, and deeply important work. Far too often, mothers carry the weight of everything while continuing to pour into everyone around them. Today, we hope every mother is reminded that she deserves care, support, rest, safety, compassion, and community too.
To the mothers who feel exhausted, unseen, overwhelmed, or stretched thin, we see you. To the mothers celebrating milestones and the mothers simply making it through the day, we celebrate you all the same.
Thank you for the countless ways you nurture families, strengthen communities, and shape future generations. Your love matters. Your health matters. Your voice matters.
From all of us at HMHBGA, Happy Mother’s Day to every mother and mother figure across Georgia and beyond. 💜✨

Thanks to HFMA Georgia Chapter for choosing HMHBGA as their Charity of Choice. This week at their Atlanta Spring Meeting, more than 30 volunteers helped pack 150 Perinatal Care Packages. It made fast work of the big job of getting these evidence based essential items into the hands of pregnant and postpartum people throughout Georgia, just in time for Mother’s Day. Along the way, volunteers learned more about Georgia maternal and infant health and why blood pressure cuffs, breast pumps, and important health education are so valuable. These boxes are now en route to recipients all over Georgia. Thank you also to HFMA for their $5,000 donation to support our work.
