Attention AS Students ~ Please join the Actuarial Student Association (ASA) for their Actuarial Friday event on Friday, September 25, 2020.
ASA will host Aetna and Deloitte during their first information session of the semester. You are encouraged to attend for an afternoon of interaction and opportunities to learn more about the actuarial science industry and what it has to offer.

The Department of Risk Management & Insurance is excited to host our Virtual Undergraduate Welcome Reception on Monday, September 28th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

The Robinson College of Business Career Advancement Center is excited to host the Actuarial Science and Risk Management & Insurance Virtual Career Fair today from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This event will take place via Handshake. There are currently 40 employer registrants for the event!
Students, in addition to registering for the event - you MUST also register for employer sessions. If not, you will not be able to connect with employers.

Attention Students - The Department of Risk Management and Insurance is excited about implementing resources to assist you in your career endeavors. With that said, the Department is pleased to launch our Fall 2020 RMI Resume Book.
The purpose of the RMI Resume Book is to provide employers with a convenient way to view your resume and ideally, find qualified candidates to potentially fill openings.
In preparation for this launch, please format/modify your resume to emulate your designated major’s template.
For example:
BBA-RMI students – Undergraduate RMI template
BBA-AS students – Undergraduate AS template
MAS students – Graduate AS template
QRAM students – QRAM template
Important Note: Resumes that follow a different style will not be accepted in the resume book.

Congratulations to Chloe Ouedraogo on securing a 2020 Summer Internship with SCOR Global Life Insurance! In this role, Chloe supports senior actuaries, and gathers and analyzes data for reserve calculations. She performs reserve calculations by using innovative modeling software and providing detailed report interpretations. This includes updating models for new products and developing processes for new modeling needs.
In addition to the above mentioned internship, Chloe is also the recipient of the Spencer Educational Foundation and IABA Scholarship.
Chloe, the Department of Risk Management & Insurance wishes you much success in your academic and career endeavors!

Our very own Matthew Wessler was recently awarded the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, one of the largest private scholarships in the country.
The scholarship, designed to help the nation’s top two-year college students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees at four-year institutions, provides each recipient up to $40,000 per year for up to three years.
