PINES 2026 Annual Patron Satisfaction Survey This survey is available April 19-25, 2026.
The annual PINES software upgrade has been completed ahead of schedule! Most services have been restored with the exception of online library card registration and renewal.
PINES will be offline from Saturday, February 14 at 6pm through Tuesday, February 17 at 6am for our annual software upgrade. Please check your local library to determine whether they will be open during this time.
Verizon has shut down their SMS gateway service, which prevents PINES from sending text notifications to Verizon customers.
If you are a Verizon customer, please take a moment to update your PINES notifications preferences by either using the PINES app and allowing push notifications, or by logging into your https://gapines.org account and going to Preferences > Notifications and selecting the option to get notifications by email.
Libraries affected by the upcoming icy weather may be either opening late or closed on Monday. Please check with your local library to be sure they are open before visiting on Monday. We hope everyone remains safe and warm!
As of January 1, 2026, the Greater Clarks Hill Regional Library System has divided into two separate systems: Eastern Regional Library System (consisting of Burke, Lincoln, and Warren counties) and Columbia County Library System.
SYSTEM MAINTENANCE DECEMBER 13, 6 PM
The PINES System Administration team will be performing an upgrade of PostgreSQL, the database software that supports Evergreen, on Saturday, December 13, beginning at 6 p.m. All production services will be offline during this maintenance, including third-party (SIP2) access. The maintenance is expected to be complete by midnight.
