We had a great Friends of the Park Group Meeting last night! So many great people came out to give their ideas on what our summer events should look like!

Join New Life Students to Scholars for their Free Library Launch Party on October 25th! We’re celebrating with candy, costumes (not required), and a free book for every person.

This event will be festive and full of treats, and extra special because our Students to Scholars kids are donating free library post to the Vine City and English Avenue neighborhoods. The post will be a place where anyone can take a book for free, enjoy it, and then return it, or donate a book for someone else to discover.

Come by to enjoy some candy, pick out a book, and help us celebrate this new neighborhood treasure!

Join us for our Summer Kickoff Cookout Tomorrow from 2-5pm

We were so glad to host a back to school cookout on Saturday with New Life Students to Scholars and New Life Covenant Church. We handed out 50 backpacks with school supplies to families in our neighborhood, as long as hot dogs and hamburgers. Everyone had a great time!

Join us Saturday! As the friends of Mattie Freeland Park and New Life Students to Scholars host a back to school block party. Come out for food, games, music and free school supplies.

Join us this Saturday from 1-4 for food, a bouncy house and a splash zone.
