Woodacres Road - Dwelling fire
Company2, Company19, E15, E8, B1 & B2
In the early hours of the morning Company2 responded to a report of a house fire on Woodacres Road. Upon arrival crews found heavy fire and smoke from the C side of the structure. Crews stretched to the C side with initial attack line and completed a primary search of the structure. A second line was deployed to the interior to stop any fire extending into the rest of the home and attic. No injuries reported.
Great job to all personnel involved.

Here at Company2 we are always happy to meet our neighbors. Especially the furry four legged kind.
Thanks to our neighbor Grady for bringing by his pup Larry Bird. Drop by any time!

10/22/25 - A shift
Company2 took to the yard to work on some of the basics of vehicle stabilization and extrication.
Skills worked on included "dirty side" stabilization utilizing a variety of equipment options. This evolved to "flapping the roof" for patient extrication.
Crews worked on B-post blowouts, dash rolls, and converting a 2 door vehicle into a 3-door vehicle.
Chipping away at the basics to keep skills sharp. Great day of training.

Company 2 operated with other Battalion 1 companies on this single family dwelling fire. Company 2 with topside vent and then straight to interior attack. All crews on scene put in tremendous efforts and were able to put the fire out.

Been a great day in Brookhaven! Got to see Chief Maurice A Gates fight a fire in his first territory on his last shift, then I was able to feed him brisket, firehouse beans, and Mac & cheese!
