EPA’s Office of Land and Emergency Management and EPA Southeast hosted a two-day Recreation Economy for Rural Communities (RERC) workshop to grow the outdoor recreation economy and revitalize main streets. Partners are connecting trails, rivers, parks and former coal lands to serve residents and visitors, create jobs, and build flood resilience. 🏞️
Focus areas: economic growth, access & quality of life, a shared countywide vision, and youth engagement.
