More than a building, our Phillis Wheatley Westside Campus represents an investment in Atlanta — preserving an important piece of the city's history while creating new opportunities for women, girls, and their families.

In 2025, YWCA Greater Atlanta made significant progress in restoring this landmark, bringing it closer to a new chapter as a hub for education, workforce development, health, and community connection.

That progress is part of a larger story. The impact reflected in our 2025 Impact Report is creating possibilities that extend well beyond a single year.

Her Power. Our Future.

Today is , and we’re joining YWCA USA and sister YWCAs around the world to call attention to the fact that child marriage is still allowed in 33 states across the U.S.

Child marriage creates barriers to education and financial stability and significantly increases the likelihood that children will experience domestic violence into adulthood.

At YWCA Greater Atlanta, we are committed to breaking down barriers to education, leadership, and economic empowerment so girls can build resilient futures for themselves and their communities.

This and , share this post to raise awareness and remind our elected leaders that solutions are possible.

What does impact look like?

It’s gaining digital skills that lead to a new job, higher earnings, and greater economic stability for a woman and her family.

It’s access to a mammogram and the information needed to make informed health decisions.

It’s a child developing a strong foundation for learning in a nurturing environment.

It’s an advocate turning her voice into action to influence public policy.

And it’s a girl growing in confidence and discovering new possibilities through hands-on STEAM exploration and mentorship.

These are some of the stories behind YWCA Greater Atlanta’s 2025 impact.
