One of AFRF’s September highlights was seeing Community Connection in action.

As part of the YMCA Day of Service at the Carl E. Sanders Family YMCA at Buckhead, 20 Equifax volunteers came together to assemble more than 100 care packages for Atlanta’s firefighters — with an Atlanta Fire Rescue Department Engine Company joining in to lend a hand.

For the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation, moments like these are a reminder of what’s possible when businesses, community partners, and our Bravest come together in service.

Thank you to Equifax, the YMCA, and Atlanta Fire Rescue for helping turn connection into meaningful support for Atlanta’s firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs.

Every emergency is different, and Atlanta’s firefighters need tools that can keep pace.

Through its Technology and Equipment Portfolio, the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation has invested more than $640,000 in technology and modernization, including aerial drones and tactical vehicles that strengthen emergency response.

These investments help Atlanta’s Bravest respond with greater awareness, readiness, and confidence.

Housing needs can change across a firefighter's career, so the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation's Housing Impact Portfolio is designed as more than a single program.

AFRF supports Atlanta firefighters through multiple housing pathways, including Recruit Housing for eligible recruits in the training academy, rental relief stipends and Down Payment Assistance for eligible firefighters and EMTs. Housing participants are also connected to AFRF's Financial Wellness resources.

Each program addresses a different stage of the journey, but the goal is consistent: reduce practical barriers that can affect recruitment, retention and quality of life.

Every community connection begins with an opportunity to meet, listen, and learn.

This year alone, the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation has supported 141 community ride-alongs and activations that brought Atlantans and first responders together.

These experiences help build understanding, strengthen relationships, and introduce more residents to our mission.

Have you attended one of our community activations? What was your favorite moment? 👇🏾
