Covenant House Georgia We serve youth facing homelessness with unconditional love, absolute respect, & relentless support.

Covenant House Georgia is a 50-bed crisis shelter that serves youth between the ages of 18-24. Youth are given the opportunity to achieve stability, work with a case manager and develop a plan for the future. Additionally, two independent living programs are offered, a 16-bed apartment-based program and a 24-bed program onsite called Rights of Passage. These programs are designed to help our youth learn to live independently. We also offer a community day center where youth can receive services such as food, clothing, case management, and GED or vocational training. We are open 24/7/365 to all youth who are in need of safety, shelter and support.

Why do we Sleep Out? Because no young person should have to face homelessness alone.

On any given night, an average of around 3,300 young people are experiencing homelessness across Metro Atlanta. Sleep Out is an opportunity to stand in solidarity with young people, raise awareness about youth homelessness, and raise critical funds that provide safety, support, and pathways to stable housing.

On November 13, we’re taking over Truist Park to stand with young people experiencing homelessness. One night of coming together can help create lasting change. Together, we can help make sure every young person has a place to call home.

Today, we’re celebrating a major milestone as Chief Program Officer LaToya McBeth marks 15 years of service with Covenant House Georgia!

Latoya began her Covenant House Georgia journey in 2011 as an overnight shelter staff member. Fifteen years later, she has grown into a leader who continues to make an incredible impact on the young people we serve.

Her journey is a testament to what can happen when you lead with love, compassion, and a true heart for service. We are so grateful for the dedication, passion, and care she brings to Covenant House Georgia every day.

I’ve been interested in computers since middle school. I started by making games, creating beats, and eventually discovered my passion for cybersecurity.

Now, I’m working toward a career where I can help protect people and organizations from hackers. Experiencing homelessness hasn’t stopped me from pursuing that dream.

Covenant House Georgia has given me a lot of leeway. I don't have to worry about my housing and having stability has given me the space to focus on my future and chase the career I want.

Before Anyaris could focus on his future, he needed a safe place to live.

After experiencing homelessness, Covenant House Georgia gave him a place where he could focus on school, explore his passion for cybersecurity and start building the future he imagined.

Behind every young person working toward their future is often someone reminding them they can get there. 💛

For Anyaris, that person is his case manager, Jackie.

When asked what he appreciates most about Jackie, he described her as “really understanding” and someone who pushes him to keep moving forward.

That support matters.

As Anyaris works toward his education and a future in cybersecurity, Jackie is there to help him navigate the challenges, recognize opportunities and stay focused on his goals.

And Jackie is just one of the many staff members at Covenant House Georgia who show up every day to support young people on their journeys.

For Anyaris, back to school means more than a new semester. It means having a safe place to live, the support to keep learning, and the freedom to focus on what comes next.

After experiencing homelessness, Anyaris found stability at Covenant House Georgia, and the space to pursue a passion for cybersecurity that started back in middle school.
