Someone added an awesome decoration to the front of our station! Thank you to whoever put the balloons up and to all of the community for the support! From the balloons to homemade masks and meals dropped off! The outpouring of kindness and support for us the past few weeks is nothing short of amazing, thank you all!!

Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season from your first responders

This is why you should never plug space heaters into power strips 11/10/2019

Please-we can not stress this enough! Just last night while on a medical call we came across multiple space heaters plugged in to multiple extension cords. The cords were hot to the touch and already had burn marks from previous close calls! Hopefully the short lesson we gave the home owner educated them on the danger they were putting their family in!

Even when we are at a residence for a medical call or completely unrelated reason-when we see a danger we make sure we try to educate the citizens!

This is why you should never plug space heaters into power strips Heating elements in a space heater can get up to more than 500°F to 600°F, firefighters say.

This morning Engine 13 responded on the 2nd alarm to a fire on Auburn Avenue in Downtown Atlanta. Initial crew at the fire were met with heavy fire conditions and after attempting a push to extinguish the blaze they were forced out and defensive operations began. E13 arrived after the defensive operations began and was given an assignment to relieve Squad 4 on the roof of the adjacent building and continue suppression with a 2 1/2 hand line with Truck 11. Outstanding job by all companies on scene!

Good stuff here. Do your job. The public wants the aggressive firemen to show up... not the ones who are reluctant to take action or are unsure of themselves. Period.
