On this day, Cadets with the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine ROTC came together to honor 9/11 victims with a stair-focused PT at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
This tribute keeps their legacy of courage alive and stands as a way to honor all those impacted, symbolizing the bravery of first responders who ascended into danger to save lives.

Stinger Battalion recently hosted its annual dining out at Georgia Tech's Bill Moore Student Success Center. Cadre and Cadets convened for an eventful evening to celebrate the many achievements of the past school year. The guest speaker, retired Major General Ronald L. Johnson, provided Cadets with advice and wisdom to guide them in their future Army careers.

Last month, eight Cadets from Stinger Battalion had the opportunity to compete in the Spartan Race, a course ranging from 3.1 to 13 miles and consisting of 30 obstacles. Through muddy and wooden terrain, Cadets ran, climbed ropes, carried heavy weights, and more. Cadet Ryan Peckett achieved first place in his wave of the Spartan Super.

Stinger Battalion Cadets have just completed the third day of their semiannual JFTX at Fort Moore, GA. Cadets honed their leadership and additional practical skills after three days of platoon-level situational training exercises and other hands-on training.

This month, MSIV Cadets and cadre from Stinger Battalion traveled across Georgia for a staff ride covering General William T. Sherman's March to the Sea campaign. On the first day, Cadets and cadre visited the Civil War sites of the Battle of Griswoldville and Fort McAllister, where MSIVs facilitated discussions on both the battles themselves and the ethics of warfare.
After a morning of PT the next day, the staff ride concluded at Andersonville National Historic Site, where park rangers guided Cadets and cadre through a tour of the former Civil War prison of Camp Sumter as well as the National Prisoner of War Museum.

On 20 February, c/LTC Carrie Way was awarded a national scholarship by the Daedalian Foundation at the American Legion, Post 102 in Symrna, GA. The Daedalian's mission is to advocate for air and space power and honor those who flew and fly in defense of our nation. Every Thursday, Stinger Battalion Cadets conduct a situational training exercise at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, Ga. Weekly Leadership Labs immerse Cadets in a tactical environment, allowing them to plan and execute platoon-sized operations. Leadership Labs help Stinger Cadets to hone an array of leadership skills that will aid them during their semi-annual field training exercise, Advanced Camp, and beyond.

On 19 January, Stinger Battalion’s Cadet Nicholas Reed graduated from the Sabalauski Air Assault School at Fort Campbell, KY. Over the course of ten days, Cadet Reed demonstrated physical endurance and learned the fundamentals of air assault operations.
