Another note from Ernest at Blue Rhino: We have summited safely in the afternoon time and back down to Barafu camp for lunch and overnight..Mary and Sam are doing great, just exhausted.

A note from our Kilimanjaro Team Leader:

Day 4: Trek update from Barranco camp 13000ft to Barafu camp 15200ft.

We have arrived at Barafu camp safely, Mary and Sam are doing great with the crew team. After dinner I conducted briefing for the rest of the climb to the summit, early morning at 5pm and everyone is so excited and ready for the big day heading up to the summit.

Final note from our guide, last day: Day 7: Walk out Day - Mweka Hut to Mweka Gate,
Wake up call was served to clients at 06:00 am (a lie in!) and breakfast was served at 07:15 am. Tipping to group and indivuduals was done at the gate after lunch. Songs to praise Kilimanjaro and thank clients for braving Kilimanjaro were sang. The songs made everyone happy and the hikers danced together with the crew and left mweka camp; arrived at the gate around 11: 00 am lunch, soft drinks and fresh fruits were served to the group. The intrepid hikers signed out and drove off to Arusha.
