As you may know by now, we did not achieve the hoped-for result in yesterday’s election. I would like to thank every person and organization who gave this campaign the incredible strength and momentum it had.

I am both humbled and honored by the phenomenal support shown by my friends and neighbors in the District (and beyond), and, although the voters ultimately chose another voice to represent them in the State Legislature, I look forward to continuing my commitment to community service.

I also appreciate the support of the many elected officials, especially retiring District 56 Rep. Kathy Ashe, Rep. Karla Drenner, Councilperson Alex Wan and Fulton County Commissioner Joan Garner, as well as the organizations, community leaders and other individuals who supported me and this campaign.

And, while you may not be hearing from me as often now that the campaign has concluded, please know that you and the support you have given me are close in my thoughts and will always be appreciated. Please stay in touch.

If you are standing in line at 7 pm you must be allowed to cast your ballot. (Then join us at our election-night celebration to watch the results come in on all of the races!)
