Last week, we had the opportunity to visit Books for Keeps in Athens as part of their Georgia Reads Community Award recognition! 📚✨
For years, Books for Keeps has been doing tremendous work to expand access to books and strengthen literacy opportunities for children and families across their community. We are proud to celebrate and highlight these best practices so communities across Georgia can learn from and build upon their incredible impact.

Monday’s Georgia Reads Community Award visit at Monroe Elementary was a special celebration honoring The Mayors Impact Team for their commitment to supporting literacy and student success in the community! 📖⭐
From educators to community partners, it was incredible to see so many people working together to make reading a priority for Georgia’s children. We are grateful for leaders who continue to invest in students and create lasting impact through literacy.
Thank you, Monroe Elementary, for welcoming us and helping make the day so memorable! 💙📚
