đź’ˇ Wisdom Wednesday đź’ˇ
"Children may not remember every challenge they faced, but they will always remember who stood by them."
Kinship caregivers provide more than a home—they provide love, stability, family connections, and a sense of belonging during life's most difficult transitions. By keeping children connected to family, culture, and community, kinship care helps build the foundation for a brighter future.
At ISDD, we honor the grandparents, relatives, and family friends who step forward to care for children and strengthen families every day.
❤️ Strong families create stronger communities.

Many grandparents never expect to raise children again.
But when family needs them most, they step in with love, strength, and resilience.
This Older Americans Month, we honor the grandparents raising grandchildren and creating safe, stable homes every day.

USA Today spotlights kinship caregivers' selfless love and struggles, particularly in finding affordable housing in Metro Atlanta. ISDD empowers these caregivers with support, and donations help fuel their mission.

Families are built through love, support, and showing up when it matters most.
Today, we celebrate every grandparent, relative, and caregiver who creates stability for children through kinship care. đź’™
What does family mean to you?

Kinship care keeps children connected to family, community, and stability.
But caregivers often step into these roles with little preparation.
That’s why education, advocacy, and support matter.

Kinship caregivers carry a lot — emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Many step into caregiving roles unexpectedly while trying to support children through difficult transitions.
This Mental Health Awareness Month, we want caregivers to know:
đź’š You deserve support too.
