Today was another big deal for

The Grady South Emergency Department officially opened its doors to the community.

I’ve been working to make this day a reality since before the Wellstar hospitals closed, and it’s exciting to see this vision come true.

This is the first phase of transforming a healthcare desert into a world-class medical complex that will expand access to quality care for thousands of families.

We’re just getting started.

Fulton County Voters - we set a turnout record for early voting in a Primary Election - 121,636 of you cast your vote early. That’s a more than 32% increase over the same period just four years ago.

Let’s set another record tomorrow, on Election Day!

Make a plan - Check your My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov to find your polling place.

Remember, unlike early voting, you must vote at your assigned polling place on Election Day.

Let’s finish the job.

Not even a highway closure can stop Fulton County and Atlanta from getting out in the Spring weather.

From the Virginia Highland Porch Fest to Grant Park’s Shop the Block to Councilmember Kelsea Bond’s PAD (Policing Alternatives and Diversion) education event in Little 5 Points, to Kirkwood’s Spring Fling - the community was out and celebrating their favorite season.

UPDATE: Trump DOJ Demand for 2020 Fulton Elections Workers Personal Information

Transparency matters. Yesterday, Fulton County filed a motion to unseal the docket in our litigation to quash Trump’s subpoena seeking the identities and personal information of Fulton County Election Workers.

We are fighting to have the docket unsealed so that the public can follow developments in this matter of vital importance to the people of Fulton County.

Until the Court rules whether to unseal the case, what we can share publicly is limited.

One thing remains clear: I will fight to protect election workers (the very backbone of our democracy) from harassment and the harm that would come from the disclosure of their personal information.

Enough is enough.
