It’s exciting to see this above-the-fold article about the the Park Pride Grant for the Creekside Connector Trail in the Neighbor Newspapers! We’re so grateful for the funding , and for the support of the City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation and Livable Buckhead. This project would not be possible without them. Work will begin in the late spring. See the article for more about the project: https://www.fultonneighbor.com/news/north/livable-buckhead-receives-160k-grant-for-path400-park-project/article_e9fa2dcc-b9ae-44ce-8257-5acdb72ca9e7.html

Today's the day! 🎉 Ready to get started with your Great Backyard Bird Count?? 🐦️ Here's how to do it:
Step 1: Download the eBird and Merlin apps. eBird helps you keep a list of the birds you notice, and Merlin helps you identify birds by sight and sound.
Step 2: Pick a spot to go birding. It could be your backyard or a park... anywhere with birds!
Step 3: Start counting! For 15 minutes or more, identify and count as many birds as you can (you can submit multiple checklists during the four day count)
Step 4: Submit your observations through eBird or Merlin. If you're already using these apps, your regular submissions during these four days automatically count toward the GBBC.
Share your best GBBC photos with us and tag us at in your eBird checklists!
Whether you spot two species or twenty, you're contributing to critical conservation science! 🔎
Want to bird with fellow enthusiasts? Sign up for our field trips to Murphey Candler Park (Feb. 14) or Constitution Lakes (Feb. 15) ➡️ https://www.birdsgeorgia.org/field-trips.html
Happy birding!

So exciting! The newly opened PATH at Mountain Way Common is fantastic. The ribbon cutting ceremony and fall festival were a blast, with more than 350 friends, neighbors, community and civic leaders joining in to celebrate this terrific new asset for our neighborhood and city. What a joy to see people from all aspects of developing and implementing this project come together to mark the official opening, literally representing the vast, interconnected web of vision, skill, persistence, political and civic will it takes to accomplish a project of this scale. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DJerxuEpc/?mibextid=wwXIfrnd
