Lowndes County/Valdosta/Hahira: crews are working on the new roadway that will connect the recently-completed new bridge to Shiloh Road just west of I-75. When the project is complete and everyone's driving on the new roadway segment, the older roadway segment and its bridge will be removed.

Echols County/Lake Park: crews will soon start initial tasks on your 2 projects that will resurface Bethel Church Road from SR 7 to J'Frank Culpepper Road and J'Frank Culpepper Road from Bethel Church Road to SR 135. Keep an eye out and in coming weeks.

The Public Info Open House for your TIA project that would widen and make operational improvements to SR 292/North Street East/6th Avenue from Estelle Drive to Oxley Drive will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026 from 4 pm - 6 pm. Macon County/Montezuma: crews are working on the new concrete pad for your new T-hangar at Dr. C.P. Savage Sr. Airport. When complete, this hangar will be able to house 10 small-to-medium sized planes.

Toombs County/Vidalia/Lyons: we've had a lot of questions about signage on your new SR 4/US 1/Lyons Bypass since we shared posts about it being recently opened to traffic. According to our GDOT engineers and your TIA regional coordinator, the highway signs (SR 4/US 1 and north/south) are already in their proper places on the bypass - it'll be the official SR 4/US 1 going forward. The old section of SR 4/US 1 that went through Lyons will be re-designated and new signs will be installed from Santa Claus to Lyons's north border.
