I was honored to stand alongside Mayor Andre Dickens, and Councilmembers Antonio Lewis, Eshe Collins, Andrea L. Boone, and Jason Dozier at the Michael Langford Drive renaming ceremony—celebrating a tireless advocate whose leadership shaped generations on the southside, amplified unheard voices, and advanced the fight for equity.
Moments like these remind us how deeply Atlanta’s progress is rooted in the courage and conviction of those who came before us. His legacy lives on through the leaders he inspired and the work we continue to carry forward.

An evening of elegance and joy!
I was honored to join the City of Atlanta’s Senior Ball, the “Age of Elegance Gala,” hosted by our Office of Constituent Services, alongside my colleagues on the Atlanta City Council and Mayor Andre Dickens.
What a wonderful time it was celebrating our seniors—their liveliness, vibrant spirits, and electrifying personalities remind me that age is just a number when your heart is full of life!

Council member Marci Collier Overstreet visited Haley’s Event Center for STEAM Saturday, sponsored by Amerigroup. Students explored hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math and even built their own robots! Events like this inspire our young people to explore, learn, and dream big.
