Building these skills for musicians and craftsman is an exciting opportunity to enhance the Eco Acordes programs and ensure expert care for the musical instruments. Our IFED directors are excited to have this opportunity to assist Fernando Saavedra in securing a professional to teach these skills in the Iquitos community.

This young man has been studying with Fernando Saavedra at EcoAcordes for several years, and is among the 13 students who will be performing in Iquitos this week. It is his dream to earn a scholarship to a leading conservatory where he can study and reach his full music potential.

EcoAcordes, under the capable leadership of Fernando Saavedra, has far exceeded our expectations for the development of a competitive Chess Program. They are considering a strategic expansion to embrace the increased skills and abilities of the students in Iquitos and the surrounding communities. Our board and donors are thrilled to sponsor these students and support this program.
