The truck is here!

After months of planning, fundraising, and hard work, our new truck has officially arrived at the station!

We’re excited to finally have it sitting in the bay, (despite the tired faces) but there’s still a little work to do before it can hit the road. We need to get the proper tools and equipment in place before we put it into service, and if you’ve ever priced fire equipment, you know it isn’t cheap. The truck may be here, but the tools to fill it are a whole other investment.

If you’re able, please consider making a donation toward the equipment cost for our new truck. Every bit helps us get closer to having it fully equipped and ready to respond.

We’re so thankful for everyone who has supported us along the way. We couldn’t have gotten this far without you!

Our Breast Cancer Awareness tees are now available in our new storefront!

Breast cancer has touched so many families and so many people in our community, and we wanted to do something simple to show our support.

These shirts are available for a limited time, and a portion of every shirt sale will be donated to support breast cancer awareness.

Grab a shirt, wear it proudly, and help us make a difference together 🩷

(Just a reminder, we will not have these shirts available for purchase at the station. They are online order only and will be shipped directly to you!)

Annual Fund Drive!!!

As we try to keep up with the times, we’re taking a little bit of a different approach to our annual fund drive this year. Instead of sending our traditional letters, we’re bringing our fund drive online and reaching our community right here.

For more than 31 years, our 1995 Pierce Saber, known as “4-6,” has faithfully served Atlantic. It has responded to countless calls, carried generations of our firefighters, and been there for our community through some of its most important moments.

After more than three decades of service, the time has come for 4-6 to begin its next chapter. Our community has grown, the needs of our department have changed, and we have to continue moving forward to make sure our volunteers are prepared to answer every call.

We are proud to share that our new 2020 Pierce fire apparatus has been purchased and will help carry our department into the future.

But purchasing the truck is only part of the journey. As a 100% volunteer fire company, we depend on the support of our community to help us maintain our equipment, support our members, and continue providing the service that Atlantic deserves.

If you are able, we ask that you consider making a contribution to our annual fund drive. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue building a stronger future for our fire company and our community.

To everyone who has supported us over the years, whether through a donation, volunteering, showing up to an event, thank you. Your support is what allows a volunteer fire company like ours to keep answering the call.

We have proudly served this community since 1957, and with your help, we look forward to serving it for generations to come.

If you would like to use a different payment method please feel free to message us.

When one of our own owns a pressure washing company AND takes it upon himself to wash the whole firehouse, we definitely aren’t complaining!

Big shoutout to Anchor Up Soft Wash for going above and beyond to get the firehouse looking clean!

Fire Prevention Week is right around the corner! Join us Saturday, October 10th, from 10 AM to 2 PM for a day of demonstrations, learning about fire safety, and a chance to meet your local fire and rescue company.

Hot dogs, chips and water provided! 🌭

We will have a kids table with fireman tattoos, coloring pages, hats and goodie bags.

As we approach fire prevention week, we’ll also be kicking off our annual fund drive at the beginning of fire prevention week, running through the end of the year. More information about the fund drive will be shared shortly, so be sure to keep an eye out for those updates!
We look forward to seeing everyone, answering questions, and spending the day with our community. Bring the kids, and come spend some time with us!

As you may have noticed, the streets around Atlantic are starting to get a little busier as our neighbors head into the fields and harvest season gets underway.

From all of us at the firehouse we’re asking everyone to slow down, stay alert, and be patient as you share the road with tractors, combines, and other farm equipment. Farm equipment is often large, slow moving, and needing extra room to turn or maneuver. Give them plenty of space and please don’t rush to pass when it isn’t safe. Our farmers are working hard to get the harvest in, and we want to see everyone, farmers and motorists alike, make it home safely🌽🚒
