UPDATE 3(2:15PM): Flushing is complete. They are valving it now, everyone should start to receive water shortly. It may take the rest of the day or even into the early morning hours for pressure to be completely normal again.
UPDATE 2 (11:50AM): Repair is almost complete and valving should commence soon. If everything goes well, we should have water back to everyone within 2 hours give or take.
UPDATE 1: The other utility companies have now marked their lines near the location of the leak. The RWD4 crew hopes to have water restored to everyone by noon today.
Around 5 AM reports started coming in of customers with no water. Crews just located the leak and have begun the process of repairing it (5:45 AM). ETA is not known at this time. Areas affected include, but aren't limited to: Blackjack Rd, Crestview Rd, Pittscrossing Rd, Tellico Rd and W. McGee Creek Rd (all side roads as well). Valves will be utilized to re-route water so that less customers will be completely out while they repair the leak. This post will be updated as more information becomes available. Hopefully it won't take that long, but it is another very large 16" line so please prepare for several hours. Thank you for your patience and understanding while the crew endeavors to repair it as quickly as possible.
