Teen/Tween Program Monday October 19. FREE. We'll be making light-up cards. Program starts at 4:30 PM. Ages 11-18 welcome! Refreshments available.

We'll also be hosting a Halloween-themed Dungeons and Dragons tabletop role playing game on Monday October 26, starting at 4:30 PM. Beginners welcome. Dress up Halloween-style, if you want! For ages 11-18. Refreshments served!

Teen/Tween LASER TAG & Stargazing are taking place tonight, Saturday Oct 3. The Oktoberfest sky is predicted to clear in time for tag and the rain/clouds will disappear!

Meet at the Park Pavilion 6:30 for Laser Tag and 8:15 for Star Gazing. Centennial Park at located at the intersection of 6th St S and Washington Avenue in Atwater.

📌 Teen/Tweens are cordially invited to the Atwater Public Library's TeenTober Laser Tag game during Oktoberfest.

It's completely FREE to ages 11-18. Your grown-ups are welcome to hang out while we play, if they want.

📢 Join the games at Centennial Park (6th Street and Washington Ave W) in Atwater from 6:30 to 7:45 PM, SATURDAY October 3.

☕🧁After the games, teens/tweens will be served celebratory Halloween cupcakes, Rice Krispie treats, and hot beverages - to thank them for all their contributions to the library and to their community!

🔭At 8:15, if we have some clear skies, we'll be setting up Atwater Public Library's telescope for a Star Party. Amateur Astronomer Pat Thibault will be our guide. If you are under 16 - please bring a grownup.

Wow! Guess what we heard from one of our patrons? (She frequently walks past our planters). She said she saw a beautiful Blue Swallowtail butterfly resting on one of our Zinnias!

But there's more. She also reports that she first heard, and then saw, a Hummingbird zooming around collecting nectar from the flowers in our planters.

These planters are the 'gifts that keep on giving'. Thank you again to the patrons who donated money to buy them. We really, really, appreciate their wonderful generosity!😍

We wish we could have caught the Blue Swallowtail and the Hummingbird in a photo, but alas, we weren't present. As consolation, here's what the planters look like today.

Our Cookie Decorating class with Tammy Nichols of Sweet Blessings for Thursday November 5 at 5:00 PM in Atwater is now FULL.

Check with these other libraries in Kandiyohi County for openings for this class - Lake Lillian, Spicer, New London, or Raymond.
