Well done!

What’s the best way to spend your fall break? At a LDE contest, of course! We loaded up a few teams and competed at the Pilot Point Bearcat Classic today. It is still very early in LDE season and we can’t wait to see how these teams progress over the next month. Congratulations to all of the teams for a great start to competition season!!!

Aubrey FFA members had a great time at the District V meeting last week! Thank you Valley View FFA for hosting a great meeting where our students made new friends and participated in workshops lead by the District Officer team!

Plant Science students took their learning outside for a hands-on “Flying Bees” lab focused on the scientific method.

Students selected three different items to attach to their bee, developed a hypothesis, tested their designs, and measured the results. The activity gave students an opportunity to apply classroom concepts through experimentation, observation, and problem-solving.

It was a great example of students learning by doing in Mrs. Dodson’s Plant Science class.

Students designed hoodies in Mrs. Lemay-Nelssen’s Principles of AV course to represent the lives they hope to build—not just careers, but where they want to live, what they hope to accomplish, things they want to own, and who they want to become.

Last week, our CTE students kicked off the year with CTE Employability Skills Week!

Students practiced real-world skills they will use in school, the workplace, and beyond—including developing an elevator pitch, recognizing social cues, interviewing, résumé building, professional communication, and more.

A huge thank-you to our CTE teachers for developing meaningful, hands-on lessons that won’t end after one week. These employability skills will be reinforced throughout the entire school year as we continue preparing students for success in college, careers, and life.
