Downtown Aubrey has several old buildings with a story and the Ever After Chapel is one of Aubrey’s most cherished landmarks, filled with country charm and deep historical roots. As one of the oldest wooden structures in town—and one of the very first Baptist churches in Denton County—this beautiful building carries over a century of stories and tradition. In fact, when it was moved to Aubrey in 1902, it made the journey set atop logs and pulled by mules, a testament to the dedication of the early community.

In 2007, Judy Cochran said she had a heartfelt calling to preserve the church’s legacy and purchased the building, ensuring its history would continue to be shared with generations to come. Today, the Ever After Chapel serves as a warm and welcoming venue perfect for small weddings and intimate gatherings. The chapel features a bridal room, a groom’s room, and a charming reception area—everything you need for a beautiful celebration.

Whether you’d like to schedule a tour, book a wedding, take photos, or simply learn more, Judy is always happy to help. You’re invited to reach out anytime, so check out more about the chapel and services and how to reach Judy directly to set up an appointment on their Facbook page Ever After Chapel.

Judy is also seeking volunteers who would love to assist in maintaining and supporting this historic local treasure.

Aubrey is seeing more new and available spaces for future business to lease or own! The Aubrey MDD Site Selection Tool is a helpful resource for anyone exploring development or business opportunities in Aubrey. This platform allows users to review available properties in Aubrey and its ETJ, see listed square footage, learn about local businesses, and access demographic and community information in one place.

The Aubrey MDD is excited to welcome a brand‑new addition to our growing community!

Egg Haus officially opened its doors on August 28th at 1001 US Hwy. 377, Ste. 113, and the MDD recently met with the owners Benny Polisi of McKinney and Andy Mena of Gainesville. Benny and Andy have been partners in the restaurant world for five years and ran a successful place in Roanoke — and now they’ve brought their experience, passion, and family business spirit right here to Aubrey!

Andy said he discovered this location and immediately saw the incredible opportunity and growth happening in our area. Andy owns a restaurant in Gainesville and Benny owns one in McKinney. With both owners having experience in operating family-run restaurants, Egg Haus is backed by true community‑minded restaurateurs who know how to serve great food with heart.

The restaurant is open 7 AM – 3 PM, Monday through Sunday, serving breakfast and lunch daily. The owners said that so far the Trails Inn Combo and Chicken Fried Steak are quickly becoming go‑to picks for locals.

Show Egg Haus Cafe - Aubrey a big Aubrey welcome as they start their newest venture in the community!
