💜 Color, community and a great cause!

Eastern Fire was proud to sponsor a purple color station at the Pound the Pavement to End Cancer 5K Color Fun Run/Walk on October 4 in Bangor, Maine.

Mark Wade and Steven Rackliff, along with their families, joined the fun as part of the Wadestrong team.

The event raised more than $30,000 to support cancer patients and survivors through the Purple Iris Foundation. https://loom.ly/7SnNVWY

We’re proud to support this important cause in our community. 💜

🩶 During Brain Tumor Awareness Month, our Eastern Fire team was proud to wear gray in support of an incredible little girl, Claire Danforth.
Claire, the granddaughter of our Bangor branch administrative professional, Faye Deprey, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2023. After two craniotomies at Boston Children’s Hospital and months of recovery, Claire relearned how to talk, walk, run, and even ride a bike again.
✨ Today, Claire is thriving. She is excelling in school, loves telling stories, crocheting, and giggling, and continues to inspire everyone around her with her strength and resilience.
We are honored to support Claire’s campaign to raise awareness for brain tumors and grateful to our Bangor and Auburn teams for participating and showing their support. 🤍

Women in construction continue to bring expertise, dedication, and leadership that strengthen every team.

At Eastern Fire, Sue Levasseur, Administrative Manager, has been a cornerstone of the branch for nearly 26 years. From front office management to accounts receivable and payable, Sue handles a variety of tasks with precision — helping keep the branch’s 120-day AR under 2%. Her dedication and motto, “Cash is king,” make her a true rock star in keeping operations running smoothly.

Outside of work, Sue enjoys family and friends, 80’s music, movies, games, and walking along the beach. She’s also tackling the challenge of reading the entire Bible this year, all while enjoying ice cream and reminiscing about her adventurous younger years with track, skateboarding, windsurfing, and downhill skiing.

Women in construction continue to bring expertise, dedication, and leadership that strengthen every team.

At Eastern Fire, Roberta Hawkes, A/R Specialist, has been an essential part of the team for four years. She has helped reduce the branch’s 120-day accounts receivable balance to under 2%, managing customer communications, payments, and account updates with precision and efficiency. Her dedication ensures the branch runs smoothly and effectively every day.

Outside of work, Roberta enjoys reading, boating, four-wheeling, Italian food, card games, and spending time with her family — especially her grandchildren and their family dog.

Security guards are costly. Surprise monitoring fees aren’t ideal either.

AI video monitoring reduces false alarms and keeps pricing predictable.

We’re proud to share that this past Friday, 11/14, the DU Family of Companies celebrated the graduation of its second FAST (Fire Alarm Security Technician) Apprenticeship class!

Over the last four years, these technicians have completed 8,000 hours of combined classroom learning and real-world, hands-on experience across Fire Alarm Systems, Intrusion Detection, Security Cameras, and Access Control.

Their commitment to mastering these skills—and to strengthening the life safety industry—has been nothing short of inspiring. This milestone represents persistence, talent, and a true drive to grow.

Help us congratulate this year’s graduates, including Ben Eastman from Eastern Fire pictured here, as they take the next step in their careers.

At Eastern Fire, a member of the DU Family of Companies, training is at the heart of our culture. We believe every team member and those who protect the community deserve expert knowledge to keep everyone safe.

For example, we’ve trained fire marshals at our Davis-Ulmer Liverpool branch on wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems, plus fire alarms, focusing on what to look for during walk-throughs and sprinkler reports.

Do you enjoy hands-on training? Perhaps a career in life safety is for you. Check out career opportunities at: https://loom.ly/pVR3c_o

Not all fires are fought with water. For sensitive environments—like data centers, kitchens, or mechanical rooms—clean agent or special hazard suppression systems offer fast, effective protection without the mess.

At Eastern Fire, we’re here to help you choose the right fire protection system.
