We encourage all students and staff to wear orange as we come together to take a stand against bullying and show our commitment to kindness, acceptance, and inclusion!

Unity Day is more than just wearing a color. It’s a reminder that our words and actions matter, that our differences make us special, and that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and that every Bear belongs. 💙💛🐻

🌼💙💛 Honoring Loved Ones, Celebrating Memories at Bowman Creek! 💛💙🌼

At Bowman Creek Elementary, we believe that every child, every family, and every story is a treasure worth celebrating! 🐻💛

This October, we are excited to share a beautiful tradition: Día de los Mu***os🌼🕯️

Día de los Mu***os is not a day of sadness or something to fear. It is a meaningful celebration of life, love, and remembrance. Families honor those who have passed away by creating ofrendas, special displays filled with photographs, flowers, and treasured memories. ❤️

We invite our Bowman Creek families to help us create a Community Ofrenda! 🌼

💕 How can your family participate?

Share a photograph of a loved one who has passed away. This can be a family member, friend, or even a beloved pet! 🐾

📸 Submitting your photograph is easy!

🌸 Send a photograph with your student to give to their teacher, who will pass it along to me.

🌸 Email your photograph to [email protected], and I will happily print it for you!

📅 Please submit photographs by October 22!

Participation is completely optional, and families of all cultures and backgrounds are warmly welcomed to contribute.

Our hope is that this ofrenda becomes more than a beautiful display. We hope it brings our students and families together to celebrate different traditions, honor cherished memories, and recognize something that connects us all: the love we carry for those who have shaped our lives. ❤️

As Treasure Hunters, we know that every family has a story worth celebrating, and those stories are part of what makes Bowman Creek so special! 🐻💙💛

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at Bowman Creek! 💙💛

✨ Here’s a fun fact about Bowman Creek! Did you know that Spanish is the second most spoken language at our school? We have over 35 families who have Spanish listed as their preferred language!🌎

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we asked some of our wonderful Bears to share what they love most about their culture. From family traditions and favorite foods to the things that make their heritage special, we loved hearing what our students had to share!

At Bowman Creek, we believe every student brings something special to our school community. Celebrating our students’ cultures, languages, and traditions is just one way we continue to build a school where everyone feels seen, valued, and proud of who they are. 💙💛

Bowman Creek was proudly represented all the way in Phoenix, Arizona at the Kids at Hope Masters Institute! 🌵☀️

Mrs. House and Ms. Luciana spent their time learning, collaborating, and gathering new ideas about how we can continue building a culture where EVERY child knows they are capable of success, NO EXCEPTIONS! 💙🌀💛

We are especially proud of Mrs. House, who stepped into the role of presenter and shared her knowledge and experience on Kids at Hope in the Classroom! 👏📚 What an incredible opportunity to showcase some of the amazing work happening right here at Bowman Creek!

Mrs. House and Ms. Luciana are coming home with full hearts, fresh inspiration, and so many new ideas to bring back to our students, staff, and families. We can’t wait to watch those ideas come to life throughout our Bowman Creek community! 🌟

💙💛⚽🏀 CALLING ALL 5TH GRADE BEARS!

It’s time to lace up those shoes and show some BOWMAN CREEK SPIRIT! 🐻🐾

We are SO excited to offer our 5th graders SOCCER AND BASKETBALL this year! 🎉

We’re looking for about 15 awesome 5th graders to represent Bowman Creek at the Soccer Jamboree!

We’ll also be kicking off our Girls Basketball Team AND Boys Basketball Team!

🌟 Want to play BOTH? YES, PLEASE! 🌟
Students are highly encouraged to join both soccer and basketball! We’re planning practices and games so they do not overlap. This is our students’ last year at Bowman Creek, and we want them to soak up every opportunity, try something new, make memories, and HAVE FUN with their fellow Bears! 💙💛

Sports physicals and athletic packets in Skyward should be completed by October 5th so we can begin practices as early as October 6th!

No experience? NO PROBLEM! 🙌
Come ready to learn, work hard, encourage your teammates, and have a great time. We can teach skills. We just need our Bears to bring their effort and enthusiasm!

💙🐻 Bowman Creek families, we have a special opportunity to come together for a cause that is deeply meaningful to our Bear community. 🐻💙

Many of you may remember Noah Lee, a former Bowman Creek student whose legacy continues to impact so many lives. In his honor, the Noah Lee Legacy Foundation was created to support families facing childhood cancer so they can stay together while getting the care their children need.

This September, the foundation will host its 2nd Annual Duck Dash 5K, and we would love to see our Bowman Creek community rally around this incredible cause. There are several ways to help:

🐻💙 Congratulations to Aisha on being recognized as a recipient of the Auburn Kids Day Salute representing Bowman Creek!

Aisha truly embodies what it means to be a Bear through her leadership, kindness, and the positive impact she has made within our school community. We are so proud of all she has accomplished and know she has an incredibly bright future ahead.

While we will miss her immensely as she heads off to middle school, we know she will continue doing amazing things. Once a Bear, always a Bear! 💙✨
