Friday plans? We’ve got an idea.

Hop aboard the GreenLine and head to the Farmington Farmers’ Market at 181 Front Street, open Fridays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Riders from Lewiston/Auburn, Turner, Livermore Falls, Jay, and along the route can enjoy an easy trip north and spend the morning browsing fresh produce, baked goods, local crafts, c***r, and other late-season favorites.

No parking to worry about, no extra driving, just a comfortable ride and a good reason to enjoy a fall day in Maine.

Got a hankering for apples?

Take the GreenLine to Turner and make a stop at Ricker Hill Orchards. The farm stand, c***r donuts, hard c***r, and apple-picking season are still going strong, making a fall trip to the orchard a pretty good use of a day.

Catch the GreenLine, skip the drive, and spend your afternoon with apples instead of traffic.

Check the GreenLine schedule before you go and plan your adventure accordingly.

Fall is here, and with shorter days and earlier sunsets coming at us, it’s a good time for a quick reminder about staying safe around buses and roadways.

• Wear something bright or reflective if you’re out walking or biking after dark.
• Look both ways before crossing near a bus stop.
• Give buses plenty of room when they’re pulling into or leaving a stop.
