Please see below for important information regarding an upcoming road closure on Lake Shore Drive!

🚨Upcoming road closure🚨

The Auburn Water District and City of Lewiston Water Division are working with Maine DOT to replace the Townsend Brook culvert on Lake Shore Drive. Road closure and construction is scheduled to begin on September 16th, with anticipated re-opening on September 30th. If you have questions about the project, please contact the Auburn Water District at 207-784-6469.

As we ramp up our pipe replacement project on Hotel Rd, we just wanted to make our customers aware of a temporary shutdown as we switch over to the temporary water main that was constructed this week. We only expect service to be disconnected for approximately 2-3 hours today.

The affected areas are as follows:

• All of Tourmaline Ln
• All of Rubellite Ln (side street off Tourmaline)
• All of Clover Ln
• All of Brookdale (side street off Clover)
• 18 Clifford St.
• 1087,1092,1104, 1134, 1154 Hotel Road
• Hotel road from Stevens Mill Rd to Clover Lane

A friendly reminder that the Auburn Water and Sewerage Districts will also be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day. We will resume regular operations on Monday, July 6th.

Our crews are actively working at the intersections of Turner, Union, and Center Streets where a sinkhole has developed overnight.

We have some exciting news to share!

The Auburn Water District is partnering with HydroCorp, Inc. to install new smart water meters throughout Auburn!

Beginning as early as this week, residents will start receiving letters explaining the meter replacement process. Installations will take place in phases, so some customers may first receive an introductory letter with additional information before receiving their actual scheduling notice.

Once you receive your scheduling letter, please contact HydroCorp directly to set up your appointment. Please note that all appointment scheduling must be handled through HydroCorp, as the District will not be scheduling appointments.

We are happy to report that our seasonal water service surrounding Taylor Pond has passed its chlorination and water testing and is now in service for the season!

Please note, our customers in this area MUST call our office at (207) 784-6469 option 1 to restore water service, if applicable. We have appointments available as soon as today in order to accommodate and complete this for you.
